I had a blast spending most of my summer getting my new classroom ready for the new school year! I had so much fun brainstorming decor ideas. I knew that I wanted the new 6th grade literacy classroom to be bright and colorful in order to stimulate the minds of my students, but I did not set out with any "theme" in mind. I started shopping at different craft stores, paying close attention to clearance and sale items. Finally, after gathering bag after bag of miscellaneous craft items, I hauled everything into my new classroom and got to work! After several hours of decorating, moving desks and tables, and creating signage, it finally all came together.
